Ríona Judge McCormack
Ríona Judge McCormack has spent nine years working in various fields of international development, in Cambodia, South Africa and her native Ireland. She is currently shortlisted for a 2016 Hennessy Literary Award, and is the joint winner of the 2015 HISSAC Flash Fiction Prize. She has in the last year been shortlisted for a range of international honours, including the Bristol, Aesthetica, Bridport and Fish Prizes. Her work has been published in the Bristol Prize Anthology, the Aesthetica Creative Writing Anthology, New Irish Writing, The Irish Times, Southword and F(r)iction Series, and broadcast on the Irish national station RTÉ Radio 1. She currently lives in Johannesburg, where she is quarrelling with her first novel, and embarking on a second.
