Impassioned!

The first review of The White Goddess: An Encounter has appeared in the Observer. It's a good one too!

The familiar title comes from the book about poetic myth by Robert Graves, the "Grand-uncle" of the author ("Great is for steamships and railway lines, don't you think? Grand is for fathers and uncles, and Russian dukes, of course!"), around whom this fictionalised – but only slightly – memoir revolves.

The paper books of The White Goddess: An Encounter are still delayed. We're expecting them early next week.  So technology has won the race! As of today, thanks to our lovely typesetters, we now have finished ebooks... We'll be releasing them in the store very soon.

And My Elvis Blackout will follow very soon after them.

A message from Henry

Just had an email from Henry:

F*CK!!!

Books delayed again - it was our book that broke tha machine - it's too big! So they're sending it off somewhere else to fold it which will delay until friday or monday.

Keep you posted.

Well, darn. At least we broke a big machine…

Coming soon! Really damn soon!

The White Goddess: An Encounter is currently at the printers. We were expecting copies to arrive tomorrow, in fact. But today we were told that the machine that folds the covers has broken. What the hell does that mean? We don't know! But it makes them seem more real, somehow. They are physical things that must be bent and shaped and folded and moulded – and we'll get them on Thursday. All that is very exciting.
