"I didn't just bury the past. I buried it alive."

Simon was in The Guardian Family section this weekend.

In a big way:

The article about Simon Gough in The Guardian.

The article was wonderful. You can read the whole thing here.

And here's a sample:

One thing that appears to have troubled the young Gough most of all was his inability to express his love for Callas. "Robert had the huge advantage of being able to communicate his love for Margot. I had no means of expressing it at all – I could hardly write, I could hardly draw, and the deeper one felt the more one wanted to weigh her down with the presence of oneself.

Those who have read the book will know how much that has changed…

In the meantime, if you are one of the many people who have searched us out thanks to The Guardian, hello! You can find out a bit about us here. The White Goddess: An Encounter is available in all good bookshops (and you can also order it from Waterstones), from those evil tax-dodging corporate scum lords at a Amazon and from our own shop, where you can also download it in all ebook formats.

Our next book, My Elvis Blackout by Simon Crump is going to be released on ebook very soon. Come back here in a few days for news about release dates and a preview of our very lovely Elvis-themed cover.

Finally, here's a close-up of The Guardian's photo of Simon close to the time when the White Goddess: An Encounter was written, but presumably before Robert Graves told him to lose the tie:

A portrait photo of a handsome Simon Gough (from the article in The Guardian).

Handsome!
