It's Friday, it's the Singles Club

Author Tony O'Neill on a bee (at a fair).

That's Tony O'Neill on the bee, this week's featured author on The £1 Singles Club. Tony is some writer - and he writes from experience. He started out as a musician, playing with Kenickie, the Brian Jonestown Massacre and Marc Almond, but ended up in LA, addicted to plenty of things that don't do you much good - and that could have been it. Fortunately, he pulled through. he now writes searing, shocking, but also funny, lovely and curiously redemptive prose about his experiences and the life he led. Oh and mad stories about drug-hoovering American Football heroes.

A Story Sadder Than All Of The Bruised Whores in Hollywood sees him at the top of his game. And scrabbling around at rock bottom. Plus it features Robbie Williams. You've got to read it.

Our other two Singles Club stories are also still going strong. We've got Samuel Wright's award winning Best Friend in the roster, and the wonderfully strange The Blue & the Dim & the Dark Cloths from the award-winning Michael Stewart.

Aren't we lucky?
